Every record the SFBB pack asks for
If it's a page in the official diary, it's a screen in SaferFood Diary — kept in the same shape your Environmental Health Officer expects to see.

Designed for busy mornings, not paperwork

Open. Tick. Sign. Back to the kitchen.
Morning
A quiet nudge before service. Run your opening checks — one tap if everything's right, a quick note if it isn't.
Evening
Closing checks, then sign the day with your finger. The official wording, a real signature, about twenty seconds.
Inspection day
Export a tidy, dated PDF of any period — diary pages, reviews, training, the lot — and hand it over or email it.
No accounts. No servers. No nonsense.
SaferFood Diary keeps your records on your iPhone and syncs them through your own iCloud to your other devices. We never see your data — there's nothing for us to see it with.
- Works offline — busy kitchens don't wait for Wi-Fi
- Syncs between your iPhone and iPad via your iCloud
- No sign-up, no email address, nothing collected
- Your records stay viewable & exportable, always

Software for small food businesses shouldn't be another monthly direct debit.
Three years in, you'll have spent… £29.99.
Most digital food safety systems charge every month, for as long as you trade. SaferFood Diary is £29.99 once — no subscription, no account, no contract. Here's how that adds up.
| Product | Price | Cost over 3 years | Contract |
|---|---|---|---|
| SaferFood Diary | £29.99 once | £29.99 | None |
| + Multi-site add-on | £14.99 once, unlimited sites | £44.98 including the app | None |
| Paper SFBB pack | Free to print | Hours of reprinting, filing and lost pages | — |
| SFBB+ | £4.99/month per premises | ~£180 | Rolling monthly |
| SFBB Pro | £24.95/month | ~£898 | Rolling monthly |
| Navitas Safety (Essential) | From £129/month | ~£4,600+ | 12-month minimum |
Competitor prices as published on each provider's website, July 2026 — check theirs for current pricing. Three-year totals assume list price throughout, for a single premises — where pricing is per premises, every extra site multiplies it. Other products may include things this app deliberately doesn't, like team dashboards or sensor hardware.
£29.99. Once. No subscription, ever. The cheapest competitor charges
£4.99 a month — so SaferFood Diary pays for itself in about six
months, then costs nothing.
Two sites or more? Add Multi-site for £14.99 once. The cheapest
charges £4.99 per site, per month — that's £119.76 a year for two
sites! SaferFood Diary, plus Multi-site, costs £44.98. Once. Forever.
Why we don't do subscriptions
Your diary is a legal record you may need to show an inspector years from now. We don't think you should lose access to it because you cancelled a subscription — or because a company you paid monthly changed its prices or switched off its servers. Your records live on your device and in your own iCloud, so if we disappeared tomorrow, your app and your records would keep working.
The things people ask before buying
Can I use it on more than one device?
Yes. Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple ID on each device and your records sync through your own iCloud. For a business, the pattern that works is a dedicated business Apple ID — kitchen@yourbusiness.co.uk, say — signed in on each site's device, rather than staff members' personal Apple IDs. One £29.99 purchase (plus one £14.99 Multi-site purchase, if you need it) on that Apple ID covers every device.
The one limitation, plainly: devices signed in to different Apple IDs don't sync with each other.
I run more than one site — how does that work?
The Multi-site add-on unlocks unlimited locations for £14.99, once. Each location keeps its own diary, records, reminders and inspection PDFs, and you switch between them in the app. Staff, suppliers, contacts and your daily-check lists are shared across all locations, so you set them up once.
The add-on gates exactly one thing: adding a second location. Everything else — recording, viewing, exporting — is in the £29.99 app.
What happens if I don't buy after the trial?
You stop being able to add new records — that's all. Everything you recorded during the trial stays viewable and exportable, PDF export included, for as long as you keep the app. Your records are never held to ransom.
Is there an Android version?
Nearly. The Android app is finished and on its way to Google Play — we won't promise a date until it's live. If you'd like a one-line email when it lands, write to hello@saferfood.app.
Built for the businesses the big platforms price out.
Independent food businesses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland working from the SFBB pack: cafés, takeaways, mobile caterers, street-food traders, home bakers and small kitchens. Got a second site — or a fifth? The Multi-site add-on unlocks unlimited locations for £14.99, once, each keeping its own diary, records, reminders and inspection PDFs — while the platforms priced per premises charge you for every site, every month, for as long as you trade. If you need team accounts, dashboards or sensor hardware, a subscription platform may still suit you better — this app is deliberately simple, for everyone else.
Free for 7 days, every feature. Keep it forever for £29.99 —
if it's not for you, delete it. Nothing to cancel.
